Sinopsis
The District Municipality of Santiago de Surco in compliance with its functions with the neighbors of Surco and in the framework of the application of continuous improvement policies, has been implementing actions to provide better services, such as public cleaning, in this sense, the Municipality of Santiago de Surco, has developed a vision of the future prospects of this service, which will serve as a model of continuous improvement for other districts of Metropolitan Lima and the rest of the region, promoting proper management and management of solid waste, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability, from the stage of generation with the participation of neighbors to the final disposal that ensures proper disposal of solid waste without disturbing the environment, incorporating the processes of minimization, reduction, reuse and recycling of solid waste, with the participation of the associations of solid waste management.

Initially, a technical evaluation of the current situation of solid waste management and a situational diagnosis of solid waste management considering the district baseline in solid waste management, social aspects and economic aspects was carried out to then propose a new management model for Santiago de Surco.
